From his first year as an attorney, Mr. Berton's practice has focused on representation of Banks, financial service companies and other creditors. Consequently, he has counseled clients and assisted with negotiation and documentations of loans, workouts and collections of commercial and residential loans in state and Bankruptcy Courts. Mr. Berton also assists clients with loan sales and acquisitions, real estate matters and negotiation and documentation of service contracts for bank clients.

Honors and Awards:

Mr. Berton is an active member of the Bankruptcy Conference for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and serves on the Education Committee. A frequent lecturer, Mr. Berton recently was a panel member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Course titled Whose on First, Lien Priority in Pennsylvania offered most recently in Philadelphia in May, 2009. Mr. Berton led a round table discussion on lien divestiture issues for the Chester County Bar Association in July 2008, was a panelist at the 9th Annual Real Estate Institute at a workshop titled Acquiring Property at Sheriff's Sale and Divesting Liens in December 2005, and has often taught attorneys and other professionals collection practices and procedures.
